Application Engineering Technician
Provides technical support to the development team and to customers as well as 3D printer support including materials and printer expertise.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*
- Providing technical support (internal and external) and associated documentation
- Provides 3D printer support (internal printing and methods development)
- Including qualifying of new materials onto hardware
- Including printer tuning and documentation
- Creating parts for customers and trade shows
- Testing limitations of new materials
- Produce and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Interact with printer OEM’s / Partners to develop / share printing know-how relative to our materials
- Machine troubleshooting and maintenance
- Ability to draw or edit 3D files
- Comply with all safety procedures, practices and regulations.
- Comply with all quality standards
- Any and all other duties assigned

Essential Education, Skills and Experience:
- Associates degree in Science, Engineering, or related discipline
- Experience with 3D printers – (FFF, SLS, SLA, DLP, or others)
- 3D drawing/CAD (Solidworks, Fusion 360, or others) skills desired
- CAD CAM machining experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Education, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related discipline
- Carbon or glass fiber composite fabrication experience
- Experience with multiple types of 3D printers and methods
- CNC programming and toolpath planning
